Who Needs a Rain Dance? I Have a Blog.

July 24th, 2010 | by Zach Thomack
Posted In: Blog

So apparently I can control the weather with my blog. All I have to do is complain about the current conditions and blam-o the weather starts to cooperate. After mentioning the 110 degree plus weather in my last blog update, we have now had two days of cloudy, rainy weather and about a 20 degree cool down. Having discovered my new ability to control the weather, I have decided to take requests. Anyone out there not happy with your current weather conditions? Just shoot me a line and I will work my blogging magic. Of course I have a disclaimer. I cannot make any guarantees to change the weather, and I cannot be held responsible for worsening conditions or any bodily harm that my come as a result of my attempt to play God (Only joking God, please don’t smite me).

Maybe next time I should complain about the amount of money I make.

I’m Melting

This comic seems fitting with the temperatures here in Phoenix, Arizona hanging around 110 degrees or more. For all of you out there who are reading this from other parts of the country I hope that your summer weather is slightly more bearable. From about the end of June through September you can find me sitting inside under the air conditioner (which never seems to turn off during the summer) dreaming about a place where you can venture into the great outdoors without spontaneously combusting into flames. When it gets this hot the only thing to do is grab yourself a cold drink, slap on the SPF 50, put on your swimsuit and plop down on the sofa to enjoy some daytime television.
I guess what I’m saying is get outside and enjoy the summer weather. Just remember if you can’t swim, you’re never too old for the kiddy pool.

Who you callin’ webcomic?

Just a little update on the comic strip. Things are going well and seem to be headed in the right direction.  I have been submitting the site to every webcomic forum I can find and the number of viewers seems to be gradually growing.  I have to keep reminding myself that it is only the second full week that Polar Opposites has been up and running and we all know Rome wasn’t built in a day.  So I will I chugging along and doing my best to make this webcomic a success.  I plan on running ads on some well known sites and I’m trying to better my SEO (Search Engine Optimization).  I would love to hear from any of my viewers if there is anything about the site that could possibly be improved upon or made more user friendly.

Other than that, just keep spreading the word. Tell your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, drycleaner, proctologist, technologically advanced pets, everyone you can think of about Polar Opposites, the greatest webcomic ever.

Don’t forget to vote for Polar Opposites by clicking the conveniently placed link in the left hand sidebar.
